Provisions of the Statute of the Respiratory
Society pertaining to the organization and work
of the Congress of the Society
Article 31
The Congress is assembled for the purpose of
conducting a broad and general debate on the
most pertinent professional issues and
respiratory health care, as well as other issues
relevant for the work, position and reputation
of the Society and its role in the community.
The Congress is usually assembled once every
four years, earlier if need arises, or later if
the circumstances allow that, or if the
Society’s Assembly decides so.
Article 32
The President of the Congress supervises and
actively takes part in the work of the
Organizational Board and Scientific Board.
The Organizational Board deals with issues
pertaining to the preparation for the Congress
and its activities.
The Scientific Board deals with scientific
issues, chooses the presentations and their
form, as well as the agenda of the Congress.
Article 33
The Organizational Board and Science
Committee are dissolved when the Assembly of the
Society accepts the report by the President of
the Congress. Rewards are given by the Congress
or the Assembly of the Society.
