Dear colleagues,
It is my great honor to invite you to the 4th
Congress of the Respiratory Society of
Bosnia and Herzegovina which will take place in
Sarajevo, 16 – 18 May 2013.
The Respiratory Society of Bosnia and
Herzegovina was founded in 1998 by
pulmonologists from the Federation of B&H, but
it belongs to all those practicing diagnostics,
treatment and care for patients afflicted with
pulmonary diseases and tumors. The members of
the association are pulmonologists, family
medicine doctors, thoracic surgeons, internists,
allergologists, scientists dealing with other
basic branches of medicine, oncologists,
pediatricians and many others.
The Congresses of Respiratory Society of
B&H are held every four years and so far, in the
previous three congresses, more than 1100
registered participants have taken part. We wish
to make the 4th Congress more comprehensive and
better in comparison to the previous ones. Our
aim is for this educational, scientific and
professional gathering to shed light upon the
newest knowledge and experiences regarding the
main topics in respiratory medicine and
oncology: obstructive and allergic diseases of
the respiratory pathways, respiratory
insufficiencies, thoracic oncology, thoracic
surgery, thoracic diagnostics, tuberculosis,
pneumonia, childhood respiratory medicine, as
well as free topics.
Sarajevo is a well-known intersection of various
cultures, an Olympic city, a center of film
events and a historical city. Thanks to its
geographical position, moderate climate and an
environment characterized by wonderful natural
beauty, it is still a beloved destination of
many guests from the country and abroad. Old
architecture and modern comfort make Sarajevo an
unforgettable spot during every season and we
would like to recommend May.
We hereby invite you to be active participants
of the Congress and to submit summaries
demonstrating the results of your work and
research. We promise you a great number of
lectures and satellite symposia.
The 4th Congress of Respiratory Society
of B&H provides an excellent opportunity to get
insight into the newest discoveries in the area
of thoracic medicine and oncology.
The summaries are due by April 15th, 2013
